I’m Charli, a documentary-style wedding photographer working across the UK and Europe, photographing weddings on digital and 35mm film.

My approach is quiet, instinctive and centred around what is really happening. I’m drawn to the glances, gestures, movement and small exchanges that can so easily pass unnoticed, alongside all the wonderfully chaotic, joyful parts of a wedding day.

I want you to be able to be completely present, rather than feeling like your wedding has become a photoshoot.

35mm film is an important part of how I work. I love its softness and the way it turns ordinary moments into something tangible and nostalgic. Alongside digital photography, it gives your final collection the feeling of photographs that already belong to your family history.

I photograph weddings because I understand how much these pictures come to matter. At my own wedding, I almost missed preserving some of the memories that are now my most precious possessions. That experience changed the way I think about wedding photography and has shaped how I photograph every wedding since.

These days pass impossibly quickly. I am the person quietly paying attention while you experience yours, noticing the people you love, the things you might not see yourself, and the moments that will take on even greater meaning with time.

I photograph weddings as I would for a dear friend: attentively, calmly and with care.

Alongside weddings, I’m an award-winning photographer working across portraiture, interiors, lifestyle and documentary photography. My work has been recognised by the Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize, Portrait of Britain and the Julia Margaret Cameron Award.
